What happens when you focus on your breathing

Breathing is a process in which humans or any organisms draw oxygen by respiration and expel carbon dioxide. It is a fundamental process for life that relies on aerobic respiration that uses oxygen to generate energy. Breath is the basis of physical or mental energy inside a human being or organism. The oxygen present in the air coming in is absorbed by the lungs and where it is used for cellular respiration. As a result, all the organs of the body are nourished. The higher the level of oxygen in our body, the stronger we will be on the physical and mental level.

What is the relationship of the breath with the mind?

The movement of breath and the human mind are directly connected with each other. We are connected to our daily activities in our daily life, the office-goer does his work in the office, the businessman is involved in his business work, housewives are busy in their daily tasks. In such a situation, we do not know how many topics keep spinning in our mind.

The more topics or thoughts move in our mind, the faster or slower our breathing is. Even when a human being is happy or sad, the speed of breath is affected. The speed of breath depends on how much energy is consumed inside the body. The faster the pace of breathing, the more energy will be lost from the body and the more thoughts of the mind will be.

Some examples on the speed of breath and state of mind

Example-1 When we run or walk fast, the speed of our breath increases, due to the lack of energy inside the body and to make up for that deficiency, the brain indicated to take more oxygen, so the speed of our breath increased.

Example-2 When we are doing a task with full concentration, then the speed of our breathing slows down at that time. How slow the speed of breathing depends on your concentration level. Suddenly when the focus is removed, you must have noticed that you take a long breath. The reason for this is that now unexpected thoughts start running in your mind again, for which you need more energy and you will get that energy only by taking a long breath.

Example-3 When you are angry, your breathing automatically increases, because there is a lack of energy inside the body, the speed of breathing increases to normalize it.

Example-4 When you are very happy, your breathing speed becomes faster, even at that time energy consumption increases and the speed of breathing becomes faster to accomplish it.

Example-5 When you are afraid or afraid of something, the speed of your breathing increases.

Example 6 When you are worrying about something, it also affects the speed of your breathing.

Example-7 When you have sexual contact, the speed of the breath is the most intense, at that time the energy of the body is most lost.

How do breaths affect our personality?

Our personality develops from our mental and physical ability. Man can excel in physical and mental capacity with his diet and necessary exercise. If a person resorts to yoga in addition to good food, then one can become the master of a very good personality.

The less the conflict of thoughts inside the mind, the calmer you will be, the slower your breathing speed will also be. You will be mentally healthy, you will be able to take the right decisions.

What to do for good mental and physical health?

Breathing is a physical action, and thoughts are mental action. If one of these two is worked on, it has a direct impact on the other. If both are worked together, the result is achieved very soon.

If a person do breathing exercise, his mind automatically becomes calm and controlled. And if a person tries to control his mind, then automatically the breathing begins to stabilize. The steps to control the mind are difficult for the normal person to do.

For good mental and physical health, you have to pay attention on so many things. For example, using sattvik food, sitting in the middle of good people (satsang), reading good literature, doing pranayama and meditation. A man who practices yoga, practices all these things every day.

If a normal person has to be physically and mentally strong, then the simplest way is to exercise breath, which will make you strong both physically and mentally.

Take deep breaths to the bottom of the navel space, then slowly exhale. You can do this process for 15 minutes.
